Exhibition Schedule
River Arts gallery will temporarily close due to the surge of covid in Maine. When the situation improves, we will re-open and will adjust the schedule at that time. The last open day in 2020 will be December 24 at 4 pm.
River Arts will not be open in January or February 2021.

All other shows are juried by professional jurors engaged by River Arts.

Submission Guidelines:
Artwork submitted for display in shows at River Arts must be for sale and gallery ready. All work must be labeled on the back with artist’s name, phone number and title. Wall pieces must be securely wired with picture wire. Please do not use string, fish line or floral wire. Saw tooth hangers are not recommended. Works should be clean. No wet paint allowed.
Drop off: Works may be delivered in person during the week up to the deadline date. All appropriate forms must be completely filled out.
Pick up: Unaccepted work may be picked up immediately after notification. Works must be signed out.
Pick up after Show: Accepted works should be retrieved as soon as possible after a show is over. Works may be picked up a few days before a show ends or on the final day of the show. Works must be signed out.
Works may not be left over the winter in our storage rooms. Please remove all work before you leave for the season.
River Arts does not accept jpeg submissions to juried shows. All submitted artwork must be in the gallery for the juror to see. River Arts does not accept work sent in the mail for our shows. Works must be delivered by the artist or the artist’s representative to the gallery during regular business hours.
All work must be original artwork. River Arts does not sell nor show reproductions of any kind.
All submitted work must be for sale and artists should refer potential buyers to River Arts if inquiries are made about a piece in a current show. River Arts retains 35% of the sale price as commission. Checks to the artists are sent promptly in the week after the show closes.
