There are many wonderful hiking trails available, places to kayak and swim through DRA (www.damariscottariver.org), and PWA (www.pemaquidwatershed.org).
Follow Rt 130 to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Friends of Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site and many of our wonderful coastal communities; many fine antique shops along the way.
In October, come for the ArtWalk, stay for Pumpkinfest.

Directions:

From the South: Follow 95 North to 295 North. Get off 295 North at Exit 28 (Brunswick). Pick up Route 1 in Brunswick and follow for about 25 miles to Wiscasset.
From Wiscasset, stay on Route 1 north for another 8 miles; Look for yellow ArtWalk flags; and then take a right on to Route 1 Bypass into Damariscotta and Newcastle Villages looking for lots more yellow ArtWalk flags.

From the North:Take 95 south to Augusta, Exit 112. From the Exit, take a left on to 27 East. Follow Route 27 until it intersects with Route 1 in Wiscasset (25 miles). From Wiscasset, stay on Route 1 north for another 8 miles; Look for yellow ArtWalk flags and then take a right on to Route 1 Bypass into Damariscotta and Newcastle Villages looking for lots more yellow ArtWalk flags.

From the East: Follow Rt. 1 south, turning slight left onto Bus. Rt. 1 as approaching Damariscotta. Look for the yellow ArtWalk flags, starting at that intersection.
